PAGANISM IN CATHOLIC CHURCH

It's hard to ignore the paganism all over the Catholic church.  From the buildings, worship practices, teachings, etc.  It's everywhere and impossible to overlook.

Before reviewing this page, we recommend checking out the links below.

Let's start with the Obelisk.  The first thing you have to ask is "What is an Obelisk?".  Let's look at some history behind the Obelisk and then see what scripture has to say.

THE PAGAN OBELISKS:
NIMROD'S PENIS OR CHUCH STEEPLE
Pillar. The pillars the Canaanites erected to worship their gods were actually phallic symbols commemorating the incursion of the demon gods (sons of Elohim) when they had sex with the daughters of men to create their Nephilim or demigod children in the pre and post flood world (see Gen 6:2–6).
What is the point here? YHVH commanded Israel to destroy these pagan symbols and to have nothing to do with them. They were abominations that would defile YHVH’s set-apart people.

The well-known pointed obelisks or sun-pillars of Egypt are found in the Scriptures in the Hebrew words matzebah and hammanim. The former word is best translated as "pillars" or as "sun-pillars", and the latter as "sun-images". In Jer. 43:13 this matzebah (sun-pillars) are identified as those obelisks found in Beth-shemesh (in Greek: Heliopolis) in the land of Egypt. Unfortunately the King James Version rendered this word matzebah in most places as "images" instead of "obelisks" or "pillars", as the other English versions correctly do. In Exod. 23:24 Israel was commanded to break down these pillars of the heathen nations. he repeated this in Exod. 34:13, deut. 7:5 and Deut. 12:3. And in many other places n Scripture these pillars or sun-pillars are emphatically described as an "abomination" by our Mighty One. Israel was not only commanded to break down these pagan pillars or sun-pillars, they were strictly commanded not to erect them, Deut. 16:22 and Lev. 26:1. in Deut. 16:22 our Mighty One says that He "hates" them.  However, the Catholic church has one in the center of the Vatican.   This can't be more offensive to God.

STATUE OF APOLLO, THE GODDESS VENUS, THE GOD ZEUS, THE GOD OSIRIS, DIONYSUS, and DIANA...
These are just a few of the statues displayed all over the Vatican.  What does scripture say...
"2 You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations which you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. 3 And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their [a]wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place."  Deuteronomy 12:2-3
JUPITER- (statue of St. Peter)
Most folks have no clue that the Statue of St. Peter that's highly worshipped / adored with people going so far as to kiss his feet, is actually a stolen statue of Jupiter.

TRANSUBSTANTIATION

One of the more fascinating elements of Catholicism is the ritual cannibalistic consumption of their "demigod" known as Holy Communion or Eucharist. During Catholic mass, bread and wine are transformed into the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, who is considered the son of God, in a rite called "transubstantiation." This isn't a symbolic transformation. A core teaching of the Catholic faith is the belief in literal transubstantiation. Practitioners eat the body and blood of Christ to become one with God.

Similar rituals were practiced in the underground "mystery religions" of the Greco-Roman world. In a few of those occult religions, celebrants shared a communal meal in which they symbolically feasted on the flesh and got drunk on the blood of their god. For example, the Mithraic Mysteries, or Mithraism, was a mystery cult practiced in the Roman Empire in 300 BC in which followers worshipped the Indo-Iranian deity Mithram, the god of friendship, contract, and order. Mirroring the Catholic Eucharistic rite, the idea of transubstantiation was a characteristic of Mithraic sacraments that included cake and Haoma drink. But the ritual probably wasn't original to Mithraism either. In Egypt around 3100 BC, priests would consecrate cakes which were to become the flesh of the god Osiris and eaten.

CHRISTMAS  /  EASTER  /  FAT TUESDAY...

Just to name few..

The survival of ancient communities was intimately dependent upon the fertility of the land, so their religious symbolism and festivals reflected this fundamental bond between humans and the cycles of nature. A number of Catholic holidays and myths parallel the timeline and adopt the symbols of pre-Christian fertility festivals. In Catholicism, Jesus Christ is thought to have been born on December 25, Christmas Day. In pre-Christian Roman religions, the Winter Solstice was a core sacred event that took place on December 25 at the time of the Julian calendar. The best known custom was the Roman festival of Saturnalia, which was celebrated similar to Christmas with drinking, fires, gift-giving, and tree worship.

Similarly, the Catholic Fat Tuesday, otherwise known as Mardi Gras, is rooted in the pre-Christian Roman celebration of Lupercalia. A February holiday honoring the Roman god of fertility, its customs involved feasting, drinking, and "carnal behavior." Today, the same can be said of Mardi Gras, when Catholics (as well as non-Catholics) eat festival foods and party before abstaining for 40 days during Lent.

When it comes to Easter, celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox, the symbolic story of the death of a god (or sun/son) and springtime rebirth is a tale as old as time. The spring equinox was recognized by various pagan cults as a festival marking the resurrection of light triumphing over darkness and the fresh fecundity of the land. One such festival was Eostre, which celebrated a northern goddess of the same name. Her symbol was the prolific hare representing fertility.

THE VIRGIN MARY

We in no way want to negate Mary's blessing she bestowed on us by willingly carrying Jesus.

However, the Catholic practice of praying to saints has been called "de-facto idolatry" and even a relic of goddess worship. Rebranded pagan goddesses can be found in the Catholic Church today in forms of Saint Brigid and the Virgin Mary.

Mary, the Virgin Mother of Christ, is arguably the most important Catholic icon save for the Holy Trinity. She's likely the amalgamation of pre-Christian mother goddesses from antiquity whose ranks include Artemis, Demeter, Diana, Hera, Isis, and Venus. The cult of the Egyptian goddess Isis may have had a particularly strong influence on Christian myth. While historical records can not substantiate this entirely, there is physical evidence of statues of Isis cradling Horus that were converted and reused as the Virgin Mary holding Jesus.

Brigid, the beloved Celtic goddess associated with fertility and healing, is perhaps the clearest example of the survival of an early goddess into Catholicism.

Practitioners, particularly in Ireland, pay tribute to Saint Brigid of Ireland who shares many of the early goddess's attributes. Her feast day on the first of February falls around the same time as the pagan celebration of Imbolc.

The appropriation of these pagan practices and symbols by the Catholic Church shows how, as social interests change and new institutions are established, religious myths and practices are not so easily exterminated. Today, millions of Catholics eating the body and blood of their god, bowing their heads to feminine idols and celebrating natural cycles on the Liturgical Calendar are still worshiping in the ways of the ancient pagans.

Let's review some Quotes from Catholic Sources.

What does Bible say?

...the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

THE BENT CRUCIFIX

This Bent Crucifix is "... a sinister symbol, used by Satanists in the sixth century, that had been revived at the time of Vatican Two. This was a bent or broken cross, on which was displayed a repulsive and distorted figure of Christ, which the black magicians and sorcerers of the Middle Ages had made use of to represent the Biblical term 'Mark of the Beast'. Yet, not only Paul VI, but his successors, the two John-Pauls, carried that object and held it up to be revered by crowds, who had not the slightest idea that it stood for anti-Christ." (p. 72) On page 56 Compton prints a picture of the current Pope, John Paul II, holding this bent or broken cross, just as we have shown, at left.

THE INVERTED CROSS

Catholics falsely claim Peter as the Father of the Catholic church.  As a result,  they often use an inverted cross, due to the fact that Peter was crucified upside down.

However, for centuries, an inverted pentagram is a more common symbol attached to the Church of Satan and Satanism, but an inverted cross is also used, such as in the Satanic Temple’s ceremony unveiling the Baphomet statue.

In popular culture, such as in music and movies, the upside down cross can mean anti-Christian and Satanist sentiments specifically or rebellion against social and political power in general. In Hollywood films like Rosemary’s Baby and The Conjuring, upside down crosses are associated with demonic activity and overall evilness to viscerally creep the audience out
